It‘s time, once again, to perform a little work on Helen, our adopted Hess and Eisenhardt Cadillac station wagon. There‘s always lots of talk and a little work during these clinics, so come on out, whatever your mechanical inclination may be. We‘ll be finishing up some remaining interior details and determining next steps in Helen‘s ongoing maintenance regimen. As usual, we will start the day with coffee and donuts and lunch will be provided.

Join us for our monthly member meeting. We start dinner at 7:00 and begin the meeting when our members are ready.

March 11th (Saturday): Apopka, FL – 22nd Annual Rotarian Lowell’s Classic Car Show at the Apopka Fair. We are all deeply saddened by the passing of Rotarian Lowell in December but The Rotary Club of Apopka is PROUD to continue the annual show spearheaded by Lowell for over 21yrs. Please help us celebrate the wonderful life of Lowell Swanberg and join us at beautiful Kit Land Nelson Park with its majestic oaks and fresh mulched beds of blooming azaleas, 35 S. Park Ave, Apopka, FL 32703. Awards include People’s Choice, a Celebrity Choice Award, and others. Dash Plaques to the first 100 cars registered, a 50/50 drawing, and door prizes. Annually this show draws well over 100 participants. The Celebrity Guest this year is singer and song writer Kenyon Lockry. Besides being a close friend to the Swanberg family, Keyon has performed with or opened for Dolly Parton, Randy Travis, Toby Keith, Charlie Daniels, Clint Black, and many others. DJ Butch Johnson will provide music from the 50‘s - 70‘s and there will be amusement rides, merchandise and food vendors, and much more for the entire family. Apopka Mayor Bryan Nelson will be cooking pancakes and bacon for sale from 9-10:30 and hamburgers and hot dogs at 10:30 - 1. Proceeds benefit the Rotary Club of Apopka Foundation, a 501 (c)3 organization that supports over 40 local and international charities, many of them youth oriented. Registration begins at 9:30 am, opening ceremony at 10 am, and awards at 1:30 pm. Still only $10 day of show registration includes hot coffee, cold OJ, and fresh doughnuts for show participants. We are excited to offer a pre-registration opportunity for our car show participants. This will help expedite check-in! We will have a dedicated pre-registration line along with day of check-in and registration. Please enter your information at Apopka Fair and we will have your dash display ready for you. Deadline to pre-register is March 9th. $10

Every month on the second Saturday. Over 200 cars and trucks parked along the oak shaded brick streets every second Saturday of each month. Music by DJ Don from Cruisin Orlando. Free for all years and models. Hosted by the City of Longwood.

Let‘s have a buffet brunch at the Marriott in Newton, and welcome new members. So new members please be there! New members who have joined since April 1, 2022 to March 30, 2023 attend as guests of Yankee LCC, so brunch is free for you.

Cocktails and any other additions to the buffet brunch are not included in the $25 per person fee.

The cost is $25 per person for the buffet. Please pay when you register, and registrations are required.

No car washing, no last minute repairs, no prep of any kind - just dinner with your SACK friends. Join us for supper, (optional) drinks and conversation. Dinner starts at 6:00, so you should be back home well before bedtime. Please RSVP so that we have a head count for the restaurant.

We‘ll be holding our March Crispelli‘s dinner get-together on Thursday March 16th. Please plan to join us! We‘ll meet at 6:00 for a delicious meal and socializing.

We are pleased to announce that the 2023 Celebration of Cars Antique to Modern Auto Show, hosted by the Cape Canaveral Region AACA, will be on March 18, 2023 at the American Muscle Car Museum, 3500 Sarno Road in Melbourne. All types, makes, and years of vehicles are welcome. This year’s featured class will be “Cars of the Thirties – Mild to Wild” (all 1930-1939 vehicles – stock or modified). There will be participant judging for Top 25 Awards plus additional awards for featured class and celebrity awards. Dash plaques will be given to the first 400 entries and door prizes will be given away all day. A variety of food and drinks will be available on site. Each entrant will receive one free show day admission to the Museum with additional tickets for sale on site. Bring a Pinewood Derby car and participate in our (free) “Outlaw” Class Pinewood Derby. The show field will open at 8:00 AM. $25 per show vehicle, $30 per vendor space. ALL CARS MUST BE PRE-REGISTERED. NO DAY-OF-SHOW REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Registration closes March 13. Join us for our monthly Cruise-in at 4:00pm at Bambinellis in their spacious parking lot in Tucker. Bring your classic, your favorite car, or even your daily driver. We enjoy seeing and talking about all kinds of vehicles.

All members are invited to attend the Board Meeting at 3:00pm, inside at the long table. This is your club, so please come and be involved in the planning of future events.

Join us for a fun day of cars and food starting at Gateway Classic Cars in Alpharetta. They have a monthly Caffeine and Chrome Cruise-In starting at 9am-12pm. We will all go to lunch at Halcyon, then at 2pm sharp we have arranged a rare group tour of Atlanta Motorcar, which is a members-only car storage and social facility in Cumming.

The Chrysler Club has invited SACK members to join them for a morning of antiquing in Lafayette, followed by lunch. We‘ll meet at The Lafayette Flea at 10:00 for browsing and shopping followed by lunch up the street at Efrain‘s Mexican Restaurant starting at 11:30. For those that may wish to join for lunch only, Efrain‘s is located at 101 E. Cleveland St. in Lafayette.

Our March event is the World Of Wheels exhibit in Indianapolis on Saturday, March 25. If you want to meet and go through the exhibit together, you can meet us at the main entrance of the Blue Ribbon Pavillion at 11am. General admission is $20 but you can get discount tickets for $18 at O‘Reilly Auto Parts.

We are returning to caffe DeLuca in Forest Park where we have the entire second floor reserved for our club.

Additional passengers and general admission fee is $5 per person. Gates open at 10am, luau show at 12:30pm. Show cars enter through south entrance and spectators enter through the north entrance.
